SAM HOUSTON RACE PARK STALL APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2025 THOROUGHBRED SEASON DUE BY NOVEMBER 1
Opening Day for the Thoroughbred Meet Slated for Friday, January 3, 2025, Subject to Texas Racing Commission Approval
HOUSTON, TX –Pending the approval of the Texas Racing Commission (TXRC) in December, Sam Houston Race Park will kick off its 2025 live racing season on Friday, January 3 and will conclude on April 6.
Stall applications for the upcoming Thoroughbred meet are due by Friday, November 1 and can be accessed on the Sam Houston Race Park website or by contacting racing secretary Mike Acton at mike.acton@pennentertainment.com or (281) 807-8780. The Sam Houston Race Park barn area will open on Monday, December 2 with training hours set to commence on Tuesday, December 3. A full stakes schedule will be forthcoming with the annual Houston Racing Festival on Saturday, January 25 anchored by the $300,000 Houston Ladies Classic (G3) and the $200,000 John B. Connally Turf (G3).
