OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

THE CONTEST

The Graded Stakes Handicapping Contest (the “Contest”) is being held today at Sam Houston Race Park that requires the handicapping of six (6) races. Contestants will be asked to make a mythical $1.00 THREE HORSE EXACTA BOX wager on each race of the designated races.

RULES AND CONDITIONS

Patrons visiting Sam Houston Race Park today who are 21 years or older can register for the Contest.  There is no entry fee and there are no purchases required.

DEADLINE TO ENTER is 3:00 pm October 8, 2022. Entries must be submitted by that time at the entry box located at the Players Lounge Desk.

Each contestant may enter only one time.  Contestants with duplicate entries or more than one entry will be disqualified.  Tandem entries by two or more persons may also be subject to disqualification.  Each contestant must make his or her selections independently. All fields on the entry form must be completed for an entry to be eligible.  Contestants not filling in the entry form completely may be disqualified. 

The winner will be the person(s) with the highest cumulative total dollar winnings from mythical $1.00

THREE HORSE EXACTA BOX wagers on 6 races.  The contest will feature Breeder’s Cup prep races 

comprised of Races 7 (Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes), 9 (Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity) & 10

(Coolmore Turf Stakes) at Keeneland and Races 5 (Rodeo Drive Stakes), 6 (Chandelier Stakes), and 8 

(American Pharoah Stakes) at Santa Anita Race Park on Saturday October 8, 2022

If there is a tie, the winner will be the person with the highest number of correct exacta selections. 

If there is still a tie, the tied entries will split the prize money. 

The prize money is $100 gas card to the winner of the Contest.

If a horse is scratched following the contestant’s submission of an entry form, then the remaining horses selected will be used to complete the mythical wager. Scoring will not occur for any designated race if two or more selected horses scratch from a contest race.

If one of the Contest races is cancelled, the Contest results will be determined by the outcome of the remaining races.

The winner will be notified by e-mail or phone as soon as results have tabulated and declared final on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Employees and immediate family of Sam Houston Race Park, Penn Entertainment or any of their   affiliates, MAY NOT ENTER the Contest.   Immediate family is defined as and includes any relative residing at the same residence.

ALL INTERPRETATIONS OF THESE RULES AND ALL QUESTIONS NOT COVERED IN THESE RULES WILL BE DECIDED BY THE MANAGEMENT OF SAM HOUSTON RACE PARK WHOSE DECISION WILL BE FINAL AND WITHOUT ANY CLAIM FOR DAMAGES OR RECOURSE OF ANY KIND. AMONG OTHER THINGS, SAM HOUSTON RACE PARK RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DECLARE THE CONTEST NULL AND VOID AND TO WITHOLD ALL PRIZE MONEY IF THERE ARE ANY IRREGULARITIES OR UNFORSEEN PROBLEMS.

By entering the Contest, each contestant’s consents without limitations and without receiving additional compensation to the use of his or her photograph, broadcast testimonial, and/or likeness for advertising purposes by Sam Houston Race Park and its brokers or advertising agencies.
