Sam Houston Race Park is Houston’s premier racing, dining and entertainment destination located 15 minutes from downtown. Age Limit:

Sam Houston Race Park is an all-ages venue. Children ages 12 and under may enter The Park for free. The minimum age to place a wager is 21. You must be 21 years of age to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. Texas State Photo ID for all patrons under the age of 30 is required for all alcoholic beverage purchases.

Ticket Information:

Tickets to all events at Sam Houston Race Park are available online at www.shrp.com.

You can print an “e-Ticket,” have tickets mailed or claim tickets the day of the show at Will Call. All Will Call tickets require a photo ID and credit card used for purchase. Will Call is located at the South Entrance of The Park near the Valet Circle.

Parking Information:

Valet Parking for live racing days is available for $8. Premium Parking for live racing days and concerts is available for $10. General Parking is FREE excluding select days.

Admissions:

For the general safety of our patrons:
• All carried items, including bags, are subject to search. No large bags or backpacks are permitted in The Park;
• Guests who do not agree to be searched will be denied entry to The Park;
• Re-entry to the Park will not be permitted. However, re-entry may from time to time be permitted with appropriate wrist band or stamp into the Showgrounds from the Park’s other buildings. The venue reserves the right to change this policy at any time.

Seating Options:

Sam Houston Race Park offers reserved seating & general admission for live racing events. Reserved seating provides seating on the Club Level of the facility including the Winner’s Circle Restaurant, Finish Line Boxes, Club Boxes, Counter Seating and Theater Seating areas. General Admission to The Park does not provide seating and space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Disabled Guest Information:

Sam Houston Race Park provides Accessible Entrances for disabled patrons at the North & South Entrances of The Park. Disabled parking spaces are available in the Main Parking Lot. Disabled Seating will be available for all live racing dates and events. Please call 281-807-8760 with specific questions and to purchase accessible seats.

Concessions:

Sam Houston Race Park provides various food and beverages at concession stands located on the Paddock and Club Levels. Texas State Photo ID for all patrons under the age of 30 is required for all alcoholic beverage purchases. Payment methods include Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover.

Sam Houston Race Park and 97, Inc. are committed to the responsible service of alcoholic beverages. We are required to adhere to the following the policies:

• The Park will not serve an alcoholic beverage to anyone under the age of 21;
• The Park will carefully check identification for anyone who appears to be under 30 years of age;
• The Park will accept only a valid Texas Driver’s Licenses or other Photo ID issued by the State of Texas as proof of age;
• If a customer cannot provide acceptable proof of age, The Park will refuse service of alcoholic beverages;
• The Park will serve a maximum of two alcoholic beverages to a customer per transaction;
• The Park will not serve an alcoholic beverage to patrons who are intoxicated or to anyone who appears to be nearing intoxication.

Restrooms:

Sam Houston Race Park offers restroom facilities for patrons on the Paddock, Club and Suite levels.

ATM Information:

Sam Houston Race Park provides patrons with ATM machines located in the Paddock and Club Levels as well as in The Showgrounds. Guests may withdraw up to $200 per day from the machine. Withdrawals are available through the use of a debit card only. Credit cards are not accepted by the machines.

Box Office Hours:

Sam Houston Race Park uses its own ticketing system for all racing and event tickets. There are ticket box office booths located at the North & South Entrances, which are open for live racing and concerts. The North Entrance box office will be open at 10:30 a.m. daily. The box office accepts Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express & Discover. Advance racing tickets are available at www.shrp.com or by calling 281-807-8760. Advance concert tickets are available at www.theshowgrounds.com or by calling 800-211-3381. The box office phone number is 281-807-8819.

The Box Office Hours are:

   Monday – Thursday - 10:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
   Friday & Saturday - 10:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
   Sunday - 10:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Rules & Regulations for Sam Houston Race Park:

Please note, the Rules & Regulations stated below are related to Sam Houston Race Park only. For information pertaining to concert events, please visit www.theshowgrounds.com.

Fan Conduct Policy:

Anyone exhibiting disruptive or unruly behavior, who is intoxicated, illegally possesses alcohol or other prohibited substances, or who interferes with the ability of others to enjoy the event will be ejected from The Park and subject to arrest.

Camera Usage Policy:

Sam Houston Race Park and The Showgrounds WILL ALLOW photo cameras into all racing and concert events unless otherwise posted.  The camera policy for the venue is as follows:

Photo cameras must have a lens of less than 4" long, Professional cameras are not allowed. Unless the singer/performer requests not to have cameras while he or she is performing. Media inquiries regarding photos of live racing and racing events need to be coordinated through the Media Relations department.

Video cameras are not allowed.

Sam Houston Race Park will NOT tolerate the following from guests anywhere on property:

• Tailgating
• Standing on chairs
• The distribution of items, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures is not permitted without written authorization from Management.

Entry Policy:

Sam Houston Race Park is an all-ages venue. Anyone entering Sam Houston Race Park may be asked to consent to a visual inspection. Guests not allowing the inspection will be refused entry into The Park.
